all of our cakes are handmade with the finest ingredients and love!


cakes are hand mixed from the finest baking flours, free range eggs, and the best quality chocolate to be found in perth! think willy wonka without the oompaloompas oh and ok without the chocolate river :)

if you have more than 1 tier you can have multiple flavours :) YUM


there are 3 layers of cake in each tier, separated with chocolate ganache (literally cake sandwiched with chocolate) The cake is then completely covered with chocolate and levelled until smooth. there is approx 1.6 kilos of chocolate in a single  9inch tier!

then the fondant icing is carefully smoothed over the top of all that yummy chocolate! 
[ sift + stir ]'s  fondant of choice is fondex. 


all decorations are handmade of  fondant which are coloured and modelled by karen @ 
[ sift + stir ] it's a bit like plasticine! you should try to make some it's great fun!

things we need to know:
  • date cake is needed
  • how many people you wish to serve
  • a picture of a cake you would like (if you don't have one we can work together to make the cake of your dreams!) 
  • your contact & delivery details 


[ notice required ]
cupcakes - 1 weeks notice (try me though if you need them sooner, I always have something in the oven!) 


your occasion cakes - 3 weeks notice (depending on decoration required) the more decoration the more time required


wedding cakes - a minimum of 6 weeks notice (however I would advise booking your cake months ahead rather than weeks ahead or you will find every cake decorator booked) 


if you would like to book you would need to do so fairly quickly,  i only take 2 bookings a week as I also work full time :) each cake is a 3 day process which entails  baking - ganaching - icing & decorating.


please note these time frames may NOT be available at the time you wish to book, the earlier you book the easier it is to secure your required date. 


i am happy to sit down with you to discuss exactly the sort of cake you would like for your big day!  taste tests are available and can be organised for tasting during our appointment,  i can supply a cupcake selection in the flavours that interest you for a small fee :) 


a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance to be paid on pick-up
(with the exception of wedding cakes) 


wedding cakes require a 50% deposit at the time of booking and payment in full to be received no later than 4 weeks prior to pickup. any cake decorations which are supplied but not made by [ sift + stir ]  must be paid for at the time of booking (ie bride & groom toppers etc) 


[ cancellation policy ]
all deposits are non refundable if cancelled within the notice period


cancellation fees prior to the notice period are:
cupcakes - 75% of deposit refundable (if not part of a wedding or occasion cake order) 
occasion cakes - 50% of deposit refundable 
wedding cakes - 25% of deposit refundable
